Trudy Carmichael Presents: The Improvised One-Woman Show

NEW YORK CITY, NY

Trudy Carmichael made her first appearance in the Las Vegas-inspired musical improv revue, The Royal Flushes at The Upright Citizens Brigade in 2005. She continued to perform in comedy and Cabaret Venues around NYC before landing a permanent gig at The Magnet Theater, NYC as the host of the Musical Improv Mixer in 2009 for The First Annual New York Musical Improv Festival, which she still hosts to this day. She has also served as Mistress of Ceremonies for various private and charitable events including Covenant House International, Upper West Side Campaign Against Huger and The Lesbian & Gay Big Apple Corp Marching Band. Additionally, Trudy has proudly garnered the titles of First Runner-Up in The New York Soul Sensation Competition at New World Stages as well as First Place winner of The Cabaret Show Down at the Kraine Theater.

She can currently be found frequenting Birdland, The Metropolitan Room and Sid Gold’s, and most recently returned to The Duplex Cabaret Theater with her show, Trudy Carmichael Presents: The Improvised One-Woman Show, where she creates a fully realized One-Woman Cabaret based on the audience suggestion of a show title and their personal objects.
