Sprocket was spun up several years ago by  long time improvisors Barry McAlister and Cindy Carter.  They crafted a vehicle where they could create their own brand of improvisational comedy.  With a background of great past groups in their history, training in several places across the country, and a determination to forge their own place in Nashville, Sprocket is going strong!

At their show one week you might see fun characters that remind you of your family, the next week a puppet makes an unpredicted appearance, and the next its a musical mayhem.  All forged from their rich experiences.  Cindy is a former news reporter.  She’s also an actress and former dancer.  Barry is a video production guy and actor.  You may have seen him as “the dead guy” in Joe Diffie’s “Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox (When I Die)” or as the dancing hunchback in KT Oslin’s “Come Next Monday”.

Playing with Sprocket for special events like the Third Coast Improv Festival are Ellen Goebel and Holly Watson- great improvisors, actors, and singers!
