Family Dinner will get a suggestion of a location and dive into a group scene based on the suggestion. From there, whatever through lines come up, we explore through multiple scenes.
Hailing from the mountains of Asheville, NC, Family Dinner is an all-female improv troupe that takes on the awkwardness of everyday life. If you remember family’s annual Thanksgivings where Aunt Becky gets drunk and starts talking about Uncle Jerry like he’s a dog, then this troupe is for you. Its members are skilled and have studied improv and sketch at The Second City, iO Chicago, Comedy Sports. Asheville School of Improv, and The Dallas Comedy House. They all found each other in Asheville hoping to join a witches circle, but found improv was more palatable to
the comedy-loving masses. Family Dinner performs regularly in conjunction with Asheville Improv Collective.
Performers: Marlene Thompson, Stephanie Marzoula, Haley Cohen, Dana Hall, Lindsay Lee, Katie Jones
